(42–43) 38th year of the lord, the glorious king Rājendra Cōḻa alias the king Parakesarivarman,

(43–45) This is the manner in which ... gave ...

(45) There is half [a vēli] of land ...

(45–48) Whereas to this half [a vēli] of land, [the boundaries are as follows:]

  • the eastern boundary is ...;

for the land comprised within the four great boundaries thus described, [there are] two hundred kācus that we obtained from this god Caṇḍeśvara.

Commentary

The inscription Tiruvāvaṭutuṟai 10009, which starts immediately in line 41 after the final daṇḍa, appears to be connected with the present inscription Tiruvāvaṭutuṟai 10008, as a kind of continuation.
