<p>Kulōttuṅga III. Year 6: 1184 A.D.</p>
<p>The title Tribhuvanachakravarttigaḷ and the palaeography of the record point to the identity of the king with Kulōttuṅga III who also bore the title Vīra-Rājēndra. The details of date <hi rend="italic">viz.</hi>, Kaṟkaṭaka ba. 12, Rōhiṇi, Thursday, point to 1184 A.D. July 5, Thursday, f.d.t. ·68, f.d.n. ·95.</p>
<p>This inscription records the gift of 96 sheep by Kuvaḷaiyam Aḻagiyān Oṟṟi-Aṟaiśaṉ of Paiyūr (See No. <ref target="DHARMA_INSSIIv17p0i0708">708</ref> below) for burning a perpetual lamp to the deity Tirukkārikaraippiḷḷaiyār, of Niṉṟaiyūr-nāḍu, in Kuṉṟavattana-kōṭṭam, in Jayaṅgoṇḍaśōḻamaṇḍalam. </p>
