35 <p>This inscription bears the same date as No. <ref target="DHARMA_INSSIIv03p0i0021">21</ref>, but the king is here named <hi rend="bold">Rājēndra-Chōḷadēva</hi> instead of Rājēndradēva. The historical introduction is identical with that of No. <ref target="DHARMA_INSSIIv03p0i0021">21</ref> and proves that <hi rend="bold">Rājēndradēva</hi>, the victor at <hi rend="bold">Koppam</hi>, and not his ancestor Rājēndra-Chōḷa, the son of the great Rājarāja, is meant here.</p>
·
· <p>The inscription records that the king granted to the Tiruvānilai temple the village of <hi rend="bold">Nelvāyppaḷḷi</hi>, which belonged to <hi rend="bold">Veṅgāla-nāḍu</hi>, a district of <hi rend="bold">Adhirājarāja-maṇḍalam</hi>, and was bounded in the east by the village of <hi rend="bold">Āndaṉūr</hi>. The grant is signed by the same five officers as No. <ref target="DHARMA_INSSIIv03p0i0021">21</ref>.</p>
