Apparatus

⟨14r1⟩⟨Page 14r⟩⟨14r1⟩na • The word is likely to have been maṅkana.

⟨14r2⟩ ¿baye?⟨byaya⟩ • The text elsewhere has byaya (14rv1) or byāya (14r5). Cf. also Kurungan, line 4: piṇḍa pirak vyaya.

⟨14r3⟩ samāṅanti⟨ḥ⟩samāṅanti vN. — ⟨14r3⟩ (v)alaghāra ⬦ calaghāra vN.

⟨14v6⟩ svabhăva ⬦ svabhāva vN.

⟨14v8⟩ maṁriñca ⬦ maṁriñc¿a?⟨i⟩ vN • It is unnecessary to make the correction to maṁriñci proposed by van Naerssen, as the spellings maṁriñca and maṁriñci are both about equally well attested.

Commentary

(14v2) kanyā(g)ata: one might prima facie prefer the reading kanyāśata, but comparison with Ślokāntara 2 certifies that kanyāgata is intended.
