Commentary

On the four corners of the slab, there are carvings of two tridents, a conch and a disc. These are attributes of Śiva and Viṣṇu. On the name Jaimani and its connection to lightning strike, see C. 175. A photo of the inscription K. 1216 was published on the cover of BEFEO 90-91 (2003-2004).
