<p>On the third pillar in the <hi rend="italic">maṇḍapa</hi> in front of the central shrine in the Vēdāraṇyēśvara temple.</p>
<p>Parāntaka I. Year 28: 934-35 A.D.</p>
<p>This inscription is dated in the reign of Madiraikoṇḍa Parakēsari.</p>
<p>It records the endowment of 90 sheep for a perpetual lamp to god Mahādēva in Tirumaṟaikkāḍu, a <hi rend="italic">perundēvadāna</hi> in Umbaḷa-nāḍu by Marudūruḍaiyān Aruṇidi Kaliyan of Marudūr in Puṟaṅgarambai-nāḍu, an officer under the king. The measure <hi rend="italic">Tirumaṟaikkāḍan</hi> is mentioned.</p>
