35 <p>This inscription (No. 18 of 1893) is engraved on the south wall of the <hi rend="bold">Pāṇḍava-Perumāḷ</hi> temple at <hi rend="bold">Conjeeveram</hi>. As in No. <ref target="DHARMA_INSSIIv03p0i0068">68</ref> above, the name of the temple is given as <hi rend="bold">Tiruppāḍagam</hi> (l. 3).</p>
·
· <p>The date is the 39th year of the reign of <hi rend="bold">Kulōttuṅga</hi> I. But the historical introduction agrees almost literally with an inscription of the 5th year in the same temple (No. <ref target="DHARMA_INSSIIv03p0i0068">68</ref> above), while the intervening inscriptions (Nos. <ref target="DHARMA_INSSIIv03p0i0069">69</ref> to <ref target="DHARMA_INSSIIv03p0i0073">73</ref>, <ref target="DHARMA_INSSIIv03p0i0078">78</ref>, and Vol. II. No. <ref target="DHARMA_INSSIIv02p0i0058">58</ref>) contain much additional matter.</p>
·
· <p>The inscription records that a merchant of <hi rend="bold">Kāñchipuram</hi> paid two <hi rend="italic">kaḻañju</hi> and two <hi rend="italic">mañjāḍi</hi> of gold to the <hi rend="italic">Pūjāris</hi> of the temple, who pledged themselves to have the god supplied daily with two <hi rend="italic">nāḻi</hi> of curds.</p>
