⟨1⟩ Hail! Prosperity!

⟨1⟩ 27th year ⟨of the reign⟩ of śrī-Kaṉṉara-tēvar.

⟨1–3⟩ The manner in which the great assembly, having met in the big hall of the Lord, have given in writing, after discussions and upon mutual agreement, is ⟨as follows⟩.

⟨3–7⟩ After purchase, I have given to this donation twenty units (ceṟu) from the property of Cempiyaṉ Muṉaippāṭi Mūvēntavēḷāṉ in Kaliyūṉṟi at Neriñci Kuṟumpaṟ Kaḻaṉi, our Brahmin settlement, for performing worship to the great Lord of śrī-Mūlastāṉam of our village through the Brahmins who are well versed in Vedas and to the person who supplies water from the Nelli Ēttam1 for the sacred bath.

⟨7–8⟩ We, the members of the great assembly have ratified this donation as long as the moon and the sun will last; we have made it tax-free.

⟨8–10⟩ Twenty-five kaḻañcus of gold are to be collected in different ways from those who trespass this agreement, on behalf of the ruler of the day (aṉṟāḷ kō2), as capital for the court of justice.

⟨10–11⟩ In this manner, we have given in writing, after discussions and upon mutual agreement, we the members of the great assembly.
