However, there is no space to accommodate two syllables after the kku, clearly visible. There could have been a ra, no longer visible. The first letter that we clearly read at the beginning of line 7 is . But there is enough space to accommodate another letter before, perhaps a . Since I do not see raṅ at all on the stone, I have not added it in my edition.”

Hail! Prosperity! [This is] the year opposite to the year, opposite to the year, opposite to the year, opposite to the 4th year of illustrious king Māṟañcaṭaiyaṉ. We, the Sabhā of Maruttuvakkuṭi in Tiraimūrnāṭu, [for] the place (iṭai) of Mahādeva of Tirukku⟨raṅ⟩kāṭutuṟai of this country, have to supply (aṭṭakkaṭava) one uri (measure) of oil (eṇṇai) everyday (nicatam) with […] This is under the protection of the Paṉmāheśvaras.
