(2–3) [This is the] stone [of/for] Mārāṉ, a relative (makkaḷ) [of] Pālācirir, the ruler (āḷvār) of Ciṟuppāḻ in the Mīvēṇṇāṭu, he who fell at the time of seizing cattle [at] …².

Commentary

Pālācirir, the ruler of Ciṟuppāḻ = Pālācirikar, ruler of Ciṟuppāl (see inscription Pallava 406) = Pālāyiriyar, ruler of Ciṟuppāl (see inscription Pallava 407).
