Translation by Emmanuel Francis

(1–2) Nineteenth year of the victorious king Ciṅkaviṇṇaparumaṉ.1

(3–8) [This is the] stone of Pila[yācata]ṅkaḷ of the Puyanāṭu who went [in] battle (pūcal) [and] fell fighting, while Ciṟuppaṭuvāṉār, a relative (makkaḷ) [of] Pālāyiriyar, who rules (āḷum) [in] Ciṟuppāl, seized cattle [at] Karuṅkālippāṭi.

Commentary

Pālāyiriyar, ruler of Ciṟuppāl = Pālācirikar, ruler of Ciṟuppāl (see inscription Pallava 406) = Pālāciriru, the ruler of Ciṟuppāḻ (see inscription Pallava 409).
