Notes

  1. 1. Sanskrit pratiṣṭhai.

  2. 2. From INSKotumpalur00001 we know that Minnāmaḷa, Sanskrit rendering of Miṇṇāmaḻai (“rain that does not emit lightning”), is a title of Bhūti Vikramakesarin, the founder of the present-day Mūvarkōyil. The temple of the lord (īśvara) of Miṇṇāmaḻai might thus be the present-day Mūvarkōyil complex or the central of its three vimānas.

  3. 3. That is, Murukku.
