1. Pūdi or Bhūti was a name of Vikramakēsari of the Irukkuvēḷ or Koḍumbāḷūr line of chieftains. Tiruppūdīśvaram may be the Mucukuṇḍeśvara temple and he might have got his name Pūdi from the name of the God of the place.
2. Pace Srinivasa Aiyar 1941, this is probably the present-day Mūvarkōyil founded by Bhūti Vikramakesarin according to INSKotumpalur00001.
