⟨1⟩ Prosperity! Fortune!

⟨1⟩ Fourteenth year of the king Parakesarivarman.

⟨2–19⟩ In this year, by order of the lord Mayimālai Irukkuvēḷ ... regarding (iṭaikkē) Mayimālai Irukkuvēḷ ... Kaḷattūr, which the great king destroyed (eṟiñca) ... Ullappaṉ Vīraṉ, a Śivabrāhmaṇa of the Tiruppūtīśvaram in Koṭūmpaḷūr,1 having come ... for you (u⟨ṉ⟩akkum) who constantly come doing services ... for the god of the Tirumutukuṉṟam in Koṭumpāḷūr,2 for Kavuciyaṉ3 Vikkiramaṉ4 Maṅkalavaṉ, a Śivabrāhmaṇa of the Tiru-Aintaḷi,5 having made an installation in this temple, saying that it should be given for these two, after having made the ceremony of offering water and having [this donation] engraved on stone, Cempiyaṉ ... a Mūvēntavēḷāṉ of Ollaiyūrnāṭu ... having made the temple (taḷi) ... regarding Iḷaṅkōvēḷār ...

Commentary

⟨17–19⟩ These three lines are heavily damaged. It is not certain that they are part of our inscription, but it is most probable.
