Le bras droit de ce prince, long et rond, terrible dans le combat quand il faisait tomber sur ses ennemis son glaive vibrant, accablant les rois de tous les points cardinaux, et invincible, a pu cependant être apaisé toujoours, mais par deux ennemis seulement : celui qui avait le dos tourné, et celui qui, désireux de vivre, se mettait sous sa protection.

Śrī Indravarman, devenu roi en l’année désignée pqr neuf; les ouvertures et les montagnes, a dès lors rendu ses sujets heureux, et a assuré leur prospérité.

Dès qu’il eut reçu le pouvoir royal, il fit cette promesse : "Dans cinq jours, à partir d’aujourd’hui, je commencerai à creuser," etc.

Dans l’année de l’ère Śaka désigné par la lune, le ciel et les trésors, le jour des jumeaux, dans la quinzaine claire du mois de Māgha, alors que le solei et les autres planètes étaient dans les demeures de la Cruche, de l’extrémité du Taureau, de la Balance, du Monstre marin, du Scorpion, du Poison et du Bouc, l’horoscope étant dans le Teaureau, Śrī Indravarman a érigé ensemble trois statues du Seigneur et de la Déesse, œuvre de son art.

Ce roi souverain Śrī Indravarman, lion entre les rois, a donné par dévotion toutes ces choses au Grand Seigneur.

Commentary

There is an illegible line in the begining of the inscription. All the stanzas of this inscription are also found in the following inscriptions of Prasat Preah Ko, Prasat Bakong and Prasat Phnom Bayang: K. 713, K. 826, K. 311 through K. 317, K. 305 through K. 308 and K. 14. For a table of concordance, see George Cœdès (1937, p. 16).

The restitution of the stanzas is based on K. 317.
