Translation

⟨1⟩ Prosperity! Fortune!

⟨1–3⟩ This is the 34th year of the king Kulottuṅga Cōḻa ⟨III⟩.

⟨4–17⟩ I, Amattai, also known as Araiyaṉ Irumuṭicōḻa Muvaraiyaṉ from Karuppūr, after engraving it on stone for the Lord Nalla Nāyaṉār of Nallūr as tēvatāṉam for this Lord, after excluding

  • 360 vēlis of land from Nallūr,

  • 5 vēlis of land for the sacred garden on the northern bank of the river, and

  • 5 vēlis of paddy fields from Kāccuvakuṭi,

I have given the 5 s of land, the taxes for watching the lands pāṭikāval, all types of ¿state? taxes (āyam), and minor cesses (kīḻ iṟai pāṭṭam), ⟨which include⟩ the tax on loom (taṟi iṟai).

⟨17–19⟩ Whoever destroys (aḻittu kōḷvāṉ) this inscription will become himself the husband (maṇavāḷaṉ) to his own mother (ammaikku tāṉē).

⟨19–20⟩ This is under the protection of the maheśvaras.
