The characters of this inscription look more southern than Vākāṭaka inscriptions, including IN00196. The closest parallels in IndoSkript seem to be the Śālaṅkāyana inscriptions from around 400 CE.

L1. The character read as ka is strange: instead of having a U-shaped hook like the preceding ra, it just has a long descender curving to the left. Also, the right-hand arm of the ka is faint, but it's probably there. Could this be a ligature, bharakta or perhaps bharakka? There are a few faint marks next to the descender, but no recognisable graphemic stroke. Bakker_1989:469 notes that the intent may have been bharatanātha.
