Bhandarkar only reads °[#re]...kāl° and speculates that we should read gupta before kāla. Sircar (SI p277) disagrees and shows "came" as clear (though I see none of it in the facsimile), filling in paṁ and a numeral.

Bhandarkar suggests filling up the lacuna with āṣāḍhamāse because in GY 61 there was an intercalary āṣāḍha month, of which this date would refer to the first. He may be right, but to me the lacuna seems no longer than 4 characters, and the second seems to be ma. See also PLG p216, also saying there was an intercalary āṣāḍha here. And see also Falk 2004:170-171,173 for criticism and a different interpretation of kālānuvarttamāna.
