Commentary

The remark “beginning lost” made in the Annual Report against this number [[A.R. No. 42 of 1888]], is with reference to the first eighteen lines on this stone which form the latter part of another record incised in the same characters registering a gift by queen Lōkamahādēviyār which was above it and has now been lost.
