35 <p>This fragmentary record is of special interest as it is written in archaic Tamil characters. It refers to <hi rend="bold">Kalikēsari-chaturvēdimaṅgalam</hi>, a <hi rend="italic">dēvadāna</hi> village in <hi rend="bold">Puḻaḷkōṭṭam</hi>, which may probably be the surname of <hi rend="bold">Tirumullaivāyil</hi> where the inscription is found. The king <hi rend="bold">Pārthivēndravarman</hi> mentioned here is also perhaps different from and earlier than the <hi rend="bold">Pārthivēndrādhipativarman</hi> to whom the records of this group belong.</p>
