35 <p>This inscription, which is built in at the beginning, registers a gift of land for offerings by the mother of king <hi rend="bold">Uttama-Chōḷa</hi>, to the temple of <hi rend="bold">Siddhēśvaramuḍaiya-</hi> <hi rend="bold">Mahādēva</hi> at <hi rend="bold">Tirunaṟaiyūr</hi> which was a <hi rend="italic">brahmadēya</hi> in <hi rend="bold">Tirunaṟaiyūrnāḍu</hi>. The place is one of those mentioned in the <hi rend="italic">Dēvāram</hi> and is situated in the Kumbakōṇam taluk of the Tanjore district. It may be noted that the queen mother is here called <hi rend="bold">Pirāṉtakaṉ-Mādēvaḍigaḷār</hi>.</p>

Prosperity ! <hi rend="bold">Uḍaiyapirāṭṭiyār</hi> the glorious <hi rend="bold">Pirāntamaṉ-Mādēvaḍigaḷār</hi> <hi rend="italic">alias</hi> the glorious <hi rend="bold">Śembiyaṉ-Mādēviyār</hi> who had obtained in (<hi rend="italic">her</hi>) sacred womb [king <hi rend="bold">Parakēsarivarman</hi>] <hi rend="italic">alias</hi> the glorious <hi rend="bold">Uttama-Chōḷadēva</hi>, (<hi rend="italic">gave</hi>) [6] <hi rend="italic">vēli</hi> of land for offerings . . . . . . . to (<hi rend="italic">the god</hi>) <hi rend="bold">Siddhēśvaram-uḍaiya-Mahādēva</hi> at <hi rend="bold">Tirunaṟaiyūr</hi> which was a <hi rend="italic">brahmadēya</hi> in <hi rend="bold">Tirunaṟaiyūr-nāḍu</hi>.
