Bibliography

Tha Myat [sā mrat] 1963, p. 78 reproduces an eye copy of one face of the inscription, reported to have been sent with a letter dated 29 Oct. 1894 from A. R. Bricks, Officiating Commissioner, Arakan Division, to Dr. D. E. Hultzsch, Government Epigraphist, Madras; no transliteration is provided. Luce 1985, pp. I, 50, 57 n. 22, 150, summarizes earlier information and sources. Sein Win [cin vaṅḥ] 2016, pp. 189–93 transliterates part of the inscription (in Burmese script). We provide a new provisional reading from the early eye copy and from published estampages and our own photographs.
