[Illegible] The reverse of the stone bears another inscription in Chinese.
Bibliography
Beylié1907a makes passing reference to this badly effaced inscription, noting that it was bilingual with one side in Chinese. ASB mistakenly identified the non-Chinese side as Mongol rather than Pyu. ChenYiSein1960_01 identified about 80 characters on the Chinese side, enough to propose that the text was an imperial edict dating from approximately 1297. Luce 1985, pp. I, 67, 75 n. 38–39, estimates 25 lines for the Pyu face. Sein Win [cin vaṅḥ] 2016, pp. 175–85 is the first attempt to transliterate (in Burmese script) all legible parts of the Pyu face.
