⟨A3⟩ hastā-nakṣatra • Eade and Gislén 2000 point out that hastā is a problematic reading, because the lunar mansion expected here is śrāvaṇa, and find it “hard to imagine that this text originally read “Hasta”.” But there is no doubt that hastā is engraved.
⟨A5⟩ Ikanaṁ va⟨A6⟩(nu)A I saṁ□guran· vatak· vaharu • The correct reading of this passage was furnished by Krom 1931, p. 241, n. 4.
⟨B13⟩ ¿piṇḍat·? ⬦ piṇḍa (ti) B S • The reading piṇḍat· is clear but a scribal error is suspected. Emend si ṇḍat? Or else si piṇḍat·? Or piṇḍa 2? Or piṇḍa?

Bibliography
Reading of a few lines by Cohen Stuart, based on an eye-copy; reading of the whole text, but based on unsatisfactory visual documentation and hence with numerous gaps and uncertainties, by Brandes; the first 7 lines read with small improvements by Damais, based on consultation of photographs; Brandes’ text reproduced, with minor modifications based mainly on Krom’s publications (but ignoring Damais’ improvements), by Sarkar, who consulted no visual documentation. Since all publications of the whole inscription go back to Brandes’ reading that had to rely on unsatisfactory visual documentation, the text is re-edited here (without recording variant readings in previous editions) by Arlo Griffiths and Wayan Jarrah Sastrawan, after direct inspection of the stone at the Minto residence (Scotland, UK) 12–14 June 2022, complemented by a 3D photogrammetry model produced by Adeline Levivier.

Commentary
The same opening stanza is also found in the Sugih Manek charter. See Kern 1915.
The lowest line of face A and the uppermost two lines of face B are less neatly engraved and much less easily readable than all other lines. Moreover, these three lines turn out to disrupt the originally planned layout. That the text as originally planned flows from the 37th physical line of face A to the 3rd physical line of face B is revealed by comparison with parallel passages in inscriptions of the Sindok corpus (Linggasuntan A33–37, Gulung-Gulung B6–10, Jeru-Jeru A25–27, Turyan A26–28, Masahar B6–8). It remains unclear whether the additional lines form a single insertion or two, and where the lines of text are to be inserted.
