Par son corps, sa voix et son esprit, il s’efforçait d’amener aux préceptes du Dharma l’intellect de ses parents et des étrangers doués d’intelligence.

A ses amis, parents, serviteurs à qui il avait insuffié l’amour unique du Dharma, il faisait accomplir les actes conformes au Dharma, même ceux qui ne servaient qu’au bien d’autrui.

Bien que Lokeśa fût [déjà] incarné dans le Dharma, manifestant sa personnalité par la compassion, il fit ériger [dans l’année marquée par] les [9] ouvertures, la lune (1) et le ciel (0), l’image de ce [Lokeśa].

Des parures, des vases et des récipients d’argent, d’or et de cuivre, diverses richesses et ces autres [objets] d’or, d’argent et de pierres précieuses,

un jardin, un monastère pourvu d’esclaves des deux sexes, de bœufs et de buffles, des champs, des tas de grains, il donna tout cela avec joie à ce [Lokeśa].

« Que les bienfaiteurs, parents ou étrangers de bonne disposition, qui conserveront, s’abstiendront de dérober et feront prospérer cette bonne œuvre riche en biens, obtiennent avec leur clan une condition favorable », ainsi s’exprime-t-il, la tête inclinée devant le Buddha.
