K. 400-2. Second inscription on stela from Bo Ika, 790 Śaka

Palaeographic description: The lettering is characteristic of the pre-Angkorian period but the inscription has a date, 790 Śaka. It is a curious and rare example of graphic conservatism.

Translation into French by Cœdès 1954

Je salue la poussière des pieds de Celui dont les yeux sont le soleil, la lune et le feu, qui est rempli de tous les principes élémentaires, qui a pour étendard un taureau, ... subtil.

Ayant obtenu en dehors du Kambudeśa un domaine abandonné, celui qui a nom Aṅśadeva, à l’intelligence réfléchie, le meilleur des hommes de sa famille,

doué de toutes marques, songeant surtout à son propre ātman, ayant atteint la moitié de son âge, fut loué pour toutes ses richesses.

... un liṅga d’or massif, ... par les cohortes des Sura et des Asura, né dans le ciel ...

A l’époque marquée par les (7) notes de la gamme, les (9) joyaux et l’atmosphère (0), ... il érigea alors ce (liṅga) et donna pieusement des biens ... à ce (dieu).

Puis Kali, dont le comportement habituel ... terrible, a le visage illuminé par des yeux épanouis ... à cquse des diverses bonnes œuvres d’Aṅśadeva, il ressemble à un palais céleste.
