BD: This is again a bit messy and should be re-edited carefully. For now, just keep the text as printed. The editorial comment with sthitir etc should only be mentioned in a comment, as you do above. Keep the unclear cā, and add prosody to the gap. The readings kalpitā/kalyāṇa are not a sic/sic pair (there's no such thing as a sic/sic choice). Ambiguous readings must be marked up as a choice between two unclear elements. Change that, and we are fine: Krishnamacharlu read kalpitā, his editor read kalyāṇa; both seem possible. At the end, revert to mālineha, without a correction. Here are some thoughts on this. 1. kalyāṇa is much more likely imo than kalpitā. The guy's name was thus kalyāṇamālin. 2. If we accept this, then the reading "sthitir bhāgavatenaiṣā" is rubbish: we don't need a feminine subject. Instead, the subject remains stambho yaṁ from the previous verse. (This would also imply that narendreṇa in v10 is incorrect, perhaps narendrasya would be better.) 3. I can't make out anything at the end of l13, but my intuition says we should restore bhartuf priya-cikīrṣayā. 4. kalyāṇamālihenālpa resolves to kalyāṇamālinā*iha*alpa. I guess he calls himself dim-witted out of false modesty. It's a bit strange, but I can't get a meaningful parsing with analpa or nālpa, and "linehā" is quite clear in the rubbing.
