Sarfōjī-mahārāja. Śaka 1639: 1717 A.D.

This inscription mentions the king’s predecessor Sahajī-mahārāja and his predecessor Ēkōji-mahārāja. The details of date given viz. Śaka 1639, Kali 4818, Hēvilambi, Chittirai 15, śu. 13, Friday, Hasta, regularly correspond to 1717 A.D., April 12, Friday.

It records the renovation (ashṭābandhaṉam) of the shrine of Mahāśivaliṅgamwithin the temple of god Tyāgarāja-svāmin Valmīkaṉāthasvāmin, by Mahāmaṇḍa, lēśvara Sarapōśi (Sarfōji)-mahārāja.
