<p>Rājarāja III. Year 8+1: 1225 A.D.</p>
<p>The details of date given <hi rend="italic">viz</hi>, year, 8+1 Kumbha śu. 14, Sunday, Pūram correspond to 1225 A.D., February 23, Sunday, ·75, f.d.n. ·30. The Kumbha month seems to have ended that day as the details correspond to the 1st of Mīna. It is also stated in the body of the inscription that the gift was taken over in Paṅgūṉi month. </p>
<p>This epigraph records a gift of 400 <hi rend="italic">kāśus</hi> for a lamp for <hi rend="italic">Iraṇavīra sandi</hi> for god Tirunellikkāvuḍaiyār in Ārvala-kkūṟṟam in Irājēndra . . . .-vaḷanāḍu, by Āṇḍavaṉ Śelkalāḻvāṉ of Ārūr. The money was taken over by Śivaṉaṉ Tirunellikkāvuḍaiyāṉ <hi rend="italic">alias</hi> Vīraśōḻa Bhaṭṭan, a <hi rend="italic">śivabrāhmaṇa</hi> of the temple for executing the wishes of the donor.</p>
