It records a gift of land from the inhabitants of <hi rend="bold">Aimbūṇḍi</hi> (<hi rend="italic">the modern</hi> Ammuṇḍi)<note>See No. <ref target="DHARMA_INSSIIv01p0i0059">59</ref>, above.</note> to their <hi rend="bold">Śiva</hi> temple, which bore the name of <hi rend="bold">Muppaṉaiyīśvara</hi>. The gift was made before the god <hi rend="bold">Ādidāsa Chaṇḍeśvara-deva</hi>.<note>See page 92, note 6, and page 116, note 3.</note></p>

· <p>Having poured water into the blessed hand of <hi rend="bold">Ādidāsa Chaṇḍeśvara-deva</hi>, we, the inhabitants of <hi rend="bold">Aimbūṇḍi</hi> in <hi rend="bold">Miyagaṟai-nāḍu</hi>, a division in the north of <hi rend="bold">Paṅgaḷa-nāḍu</hi>, (<hi rend="italic">which forms part</hi>) of <hi rend="bold">Jayaṅkoṇḍa-Śoṛa-maṇḍalam</hi>, gave the land specified below as a <hi rend="italic">tiru-nandavanam</hi> to (<hi rend="italic">the god</hi>) <hi rend="bold">Mahādeva</hi> of the <hi rend="bold">Muppaṉaiyīśvara</hi> (<hi rend="italic">temple</hi>) in our village. The southern boundary is to the north of our tank; the western boundary is to the east of the field of <hi rend="bold">Tombaṉ</hi>; the northern boundary is to the south of the road; the eastern boundary is . . . . . . . . . .</p>
