⟨1⟩ Hail! Prosperity!

⟨1⟩ Year 27th ⟨of the reign⟩ of śrī-Kaṉṉara-tēvar.

⟨1–4⟩ The manner in which we, the honourable members of the Puṇya Gaṇa (group of sacred service) of śrī-Mūlastāṉam of Vākūr provided upon mutual consent ⟨a document⟩ to Matisūta-k-kramavittaṉ, son of Ampaṭukkai kōvintapaṭṭa-c-cōmāciyār, a member of the honourable administrative council of this village is ⟨as follows⟩.

⟨4–9⟩ We shall feed him (Matisūta-kramavittaṉ) with two pots of special food, out of each crop, from the land of more or less seventeen divisions ⟨of land⟩ called Teṉkaḻaṉi Kaluveṟi Meṭṭu Umā Piṭāri in the irrigation area of Kaṭampēri of this village, which was bought from the village committee as tax free as long as the moon and sun will last, by giving gold, after getting money (dravyam) from him (Matisūta-kramavittaṉ) for feeding him with two pots of special food, cooked at the temple, along with two side dishes, butter oil, ⟨areca⟩ nut and ⟨betel⟩ leaf.

⟨9–10⟩ Even if the crop failed we shall feed him with this special food.

⟨10–13⟩ From those who act contrary to this, twenty-five kaḻañcus of gold is to be collected in various kinds on behalf of the demanding officer towards the capital for the court of justice.

⟨13–22⟩ We, the honourable members of the group of the sacred service shall feed this special food ⟨even⟩ by paying what has been collected.
