Translation

⟨1–5⟩ [This is] the stone [of] he who fell (paṭṭāru1) when Kuṉṟakkaṭṭi, a relative (makkaḷ) [of] , seized cattle when being (iruntu) in Mēṟkoṉṟaināṭu, on the northern bank of the Peṇṇai [river].
