Bibliography

First reported in ASI where the script is described as unknown. Marshall 1911, p. 155 describes the obverse face which includes “the Buddhist creed” in Sanskrit, and tentatively identifies the script on the reverse as Pyu. Mya1961a, notes the inscription, but a complete reading does not appear until Luce 1985, pp. I, 152. Re-edited here from photographs.
