Commentary

The shape of presumptive <ḅ> is noteworthy: it is in most cases a dot in a square, resembling the shape of <ḅ> in Old Mon.

ASB reports the inscription in Bodawpaya’s Amarapura collection and relates correspondence with Blagden. Mention is also made in ASB. It is also included as #5 in the list of known Pyu inscriptions in Blagden 1913_–_1914, p. 127 (5). Sein Win [cin vaṅḥ] 2016, pp. 127–30 provides the only transliteration (in Burmese script).
