Translation

wealthy person

Commentary

The inscrition was first read bhogī, “wealthy person”, by Kern (1896, p. 122), who later corrected it to goṣṭhī, “pleasant talk” (Kern 1917, p. 150). However, Lévi (1932, p. 89) then corrected back the reading to bhogī because the inscription is the equivalent of mahābhoga from Las rnam par 'byed pa, Ye pao tch'a pie king, and Karmavibhaṅga written in the Koutcha language.
