It is tempting to restore <foreign>padhānapari<supplied reason="lost">gahita</supplied></foreign>, by analogy with the occurrence of <foreign>padhānaparigāhi<supplied reason="lost">ta</supplied></foreign> in an inscription from <placeName>Peddaveggi</placeName> <ref target="DHARMA_INSEIAD00597.xml">EIAD 597</ref>, or perhaps instead <foreign>padhānapari<supplied reason="lost">gāhaka</supplied></foreign>. The compound <foreign>padhānapariggāhaka</foreign> indeed occurs thrice in the <foreign xml:lang="pli">Theragāthā-aṭṭhakathā</foreign>. See, for instance Th-a II.72: <foreign xml:lang="pli">ekadivasaṁ padhānapariggāhakena therena tasmiṁ araññāyatane bhikkhū uddissa vuttaṁ padhānānuyogaṁ pariggaṇhanto</foreign>.</note>
