⟨A⟩ (p)ari[…]This fragmentary inscription—presumably a graffito—is written in a different and probably earlier hand than no. B, is interrupted by the break introduced when the pillar was split in half. Note that the estampage in Burgess 1887 is misleading: indeed, the akṣaras (p)ari stand above yana, instead of a separate face.
