135 <p n="1-4">In the 13th year of <supplied reason="subaudible">the reign of</supplied> king Pārthivendrādhipativarman, the queen consort Tribhuvaṉa-Mahādeviyār gave for two perpetual lamps to <supplied reason="subaudible">the god</supplied> Veḷḷaimūrti-Perumāṉaṭikaḷ in the <foreign>śrīkōil</foreign> of Koṅgaraiyar at Uttaramēru-caturvedimaṅkalam, <supplied reason="subaudible">a village</supplied> in its <supplied reason="subaudible">own</supplied> subdivision in Kāliyūr-kōṭṭam, 96 sheep which neither die nor grow old placing them in charge of the cultivators <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>veḷḷāḷar</foreign></supplied> of the different quarters <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>paṉmaiccēri</foreign></supplied> <supplied reason="subaudible">of this village</supplied> on condition that they would themselves protect and maintain <supplied reason="subaudible">the lamps</supplied> as long as the moon and the sun <supplied reason="subaudible">endure</supplied>.</p>

· <supplied reason="subaudible">She again gave</supplied> 96 sheep which neither die nor grow old in charge of the merchants of the middle bazaar <supplied reason="explanation"><foreign>naṭuvil aṅkāṭi</foreign></supplied> who also agreed to protect and maintain <supplied reason="subaudible">the lamps</supplied> as long as the moon and the sun <supplied reason="subaudible">endure</supplied>.

· <p n="5-6">These same would <supplied reason="subaudible">thus</supplied> protect the sheep <supplied reason="subaudible">given on account</supplied> of these two lamps and cause to be measured out daily without fail one <foreign>uri</foreign> of ghee for <supplied reason="subaudible">maintaining</supplied> the perpetual lamps.
