(1) Hail! Prosperity! In the 2nd year of [the reign of] king Partma (i.e., Pārthivēndra)-Mahārāja who took the head of Vīra-Pāṇḍya [10+] Uttaramērucaturve[dimaṅkalam] [situated] in its [own] subdivision in Kāliyūrkōṭṭam. Two hundred and forty kuḻis of second rate [land] in the first catukkam [situated] to the west of [the path called] [Utta]ramēru-vati [5+]; five hundred and sixty kuḻis of first rate [land] in this same place [7+]; in this same place [7+] of first rate areca [land] in the fifth catukkam [situated] to the west of [the path called] Amaṉināraṇa-vati of the fifteenth kaṇṇāṟu [8+] We [the members] of the big assembly ordered [to be] [tax-free] [4+] Those who obstruct this [charity shall be liable to pay] a fine of 25 kaḻañcus of gold to the seat of justice [8+] I, Śivadāsaṉ Brahmapriyaṉ, an arbitrator (madhyastha) of this village, being in the assembly wrote [this] at the command of the members of the assembly. The sacred watch of the image of this god and [6+] we [the residents] of the village (ūrōm) agreed that we shall not receive any kind of taxes [5+] shall themselves pay to this god every kind [of tax]. Those who act against this [4+] Gaṅgā (the Ganges) [5+]
