The inscription was noted in A. R. No. 347 of 1922 and first published by J. Ramayya Pantulu in 1948, p. 342, № 638 with few metadata and without translation. K. M. Sastri, while relying on J. Ramayya Pantulu’s edition, gives a short summary: “Refers to a Vaidumba Mutturāju (who made a grant ?) with a liberal mind on the occasion of the lunar eclipse.” (Sastri 1969, p. 342)1

The text follows the edition of J. Ramayya Pantulu in <bibl rend="omitname"><ptr target="bib:RamayyaPantulu1948_01"/><citedRange unit="page">342</citedRange><citedRange unit="item">638</citedRange></bibl> in absence of a picture. The restoration of the Sanskrit verse in line 17 was done by Jens Christian Thomas.
The dots used in the edition to indicate lost or unintelligible characters can not clearly be attributed to a certain quantity of characters (one dot may indicate one or more lost or unintelligible characters).
