Commentary

It is not quite clear from the edition but the last akṣara seems to be halanta. The suffix is not Telugu "proper" but appears to be a Kannaḍa or Tamiḻ (like) suffix in -n. The name consists of two Sanskrit elements which in normalized spelling probably are paratara-, the comparative of para-, and sukr̥ta- ’good deed; virtuous’. Hence, the name’s meaning might have been ’the utmost virtuous one’ or ’he whose good deeds are the best’.
