Mirashi wants to read cikkamburi in l1 because the Mauryan inscription on the rock mentions "cikambari", taken as a place name and identified as Cikmārā nearby. Cunningham's copy has a pretty convincing mbu, but the m component is not at all clear on the rubbing; the character looks more like vū with a large box head.
--><!--
The character after the channel in l1, which both Cunningham and Mirashi read as sa, is again not clear and does not resemble the se in l5. It looks more like a northern squared sa.
--><!--
At the end of l1 Cunningham tentatively reads dyi and pu, partly visible in his copy, but the rubbing looks quite different. After the dubious sa, I think there is a character with a subscript r and possibly an i mātrā; after that, nothing can be made out.
