SII 4.651-658: original edition by H. Krishna Sastri

Version: (8fd5bed), last modified (aefc51a).

Commentary

Published in Nellore Inscriptions, by Messrs. Butterworth and Venugopaul Chetty, Part III. U. Nos. 37 (a), (b) and (c), 21 to 23 (d), 30 and 31 (e), 28, 29 and 40.

(a) The reading Tirumala Rāghuvarāya in 11. 8-9 appears to be more correctly Tirumala Rāutarāya.

(b) The Editors have made a mistake here in making two different inscriptions of Nos. 20 and 21. Actually No. 21 is the beginning and, No. 20 the end, of one and the same record.

(c) The date of this record correctly read is ba 30 sa and not kri 30 he sa as given in Nellore Inscriptions; Pinakavidhasri should be Pina-Komḍu.

(d) For Chalamaya in l. 7 read Cheṁnamanāyi. For Kūchi read Kaṁppi. For ri ānatini anēka read ru anantamulaina. For āppanimādara in l. 12 read Abbasamudram. For dharmuvugānichchi, in ll. 12 and 13 read charuvu-gaṭṭiṁchi.

(e) Again the Editors have made the mistake of treating Nos. 30 and 31 as two different inscriptions whereas they form only one record.
