In the 13th year of (<hi rend="italic">the reign of</hi>) king <hi rend="bold">Pārthivēndrādivarman, Śiṅgaḷa Vīranāraṇaṉ</hi> of <hi rend="bold">Viḷattūr</hi>, the headman of <hi rend="bold">Viḷattūr</hi> in <hi rend="bold">Āvūr-kūṟṟam</hi>, (<hi rend="italic">a subdivision</hi>) of <hi rend="bold">Śōḻa-nāḍu</hi>, deposited (<hi rend="italic">to last</hi>) as long as the moon (<hi rend="italic">exists</hi>) 90 sheep which neither die nor grow old (<hi rend="italic">to provide</hi>) for one perpetual lamp to be burnt (<hi rend="italic">in the temple of</hi>) the god <hi rend="bold">Mahādēva</hi> (<hi rend="italic">Śiva</hi>) at <hi rend="bold">Tirumullaivāyil</hi>, a <hi rend="italic">dēvadāna</hi> in <hi rend="bold">Veḷḷaiyūr-nāḍu</hi>, (<hi rend="italic">a subdivision of</hi>) <hi rend="bold">Puḻaṟ-kōṭṭam</hi>. The sacred feet of him that protects this gift shall rest on my head.</p>
