· <p>Hail ! Prosperity ! In the 5th year (<hi rend="italic">of the reign</hi>) of <hi rend="bold">Pārthivēndravarman, I, Kāḷi Naṅgai</hi>, the wife of <hi rend="bold">Amarakōṉ Kiḻavaṉ Kaṟaikkaṇḍaṉ</hi> of <hi rend="bold">Mīyvaḻi Tāyaṉūr</hi> in <hi rend="bold">Śiṅgapura-nāḍu</hi>, gave 96 big sheep which neither die nor grow old for (<hi rend="italic">supplying</hi>) daily one <hi rend="italic">uḻakku</hi> of ghee to burn a perpetual lamp (<hi rend="italic">in the temple of</hi>) <hi rend="bold">Mahādēva</hi> (<hi rend="italic">Śiva</hi>) of <hi rend="bold">Taṇakkamalai</hi> in this village. I, <hi rend="bold">Kāḷi Naṅgai</hi>, left these in charge of the residents of <hi rend="bold">Tāyaṉūr</hi> to last as long as the moon and sun. This shall be under the protection of all <hi rend="italic">Māhēśvaras</hi>.</p>
