35 <p>This record registers a gift of 96 sheep for burning a perpetual lamp near the goddess <hi rend="bold">Durgā-Bhaṭāri</hi> in the temple of <hi rend="bold">Tiruvūral-Āḻvār</hi> at <hi rend="bold">Takkōlam</hi> in the 4th year of <hi rend="bold">Pārthivēndravarman</hi>, by a native of <hi rend="bold">Mārāyapāḍi</hi>. The latter territorial division also called <hi rend="bold">Mahārājappāḍi</hi> or <hi rend="bold">Mārjavāḍi</hi> comprised the eastern portion of the Kolar district and parts of the Cuddapah and Chittoor districts.</p>

· <p>Hail ! Prosperity ! In the 4th year of (<hi rend="italic">the reign of</hi>) king <hi rend="bold">Pārthivēndravarman, Kēśuvaiyaṉ</hi> <hi rend="italic">alias</hi> <hi rend="bold">Pallavaṉ Brahmādarāyaṉ</hi>, son of <hi rend="bold">Tāḻakoṭṭigāmuṇḍasvāmi</hi> of <hi rend="bold">Mārāyapāḍi</hi>, gave 96 sheep for one perpetual lamp to (<hi rend="italic">the goddess</hi>) <hi rend="bold">Durgā-Bhaṭāri</hi> who is pleased to stand in the temple of <hi rend="bold">Tiruvūral-Āḻvār</hi> at <hi rend="bold">Takkōlam</hi>. I, <hi rend="bold">Kumaraṉ</hi> <hi rend="italic">alias</hi> <hi rend="bold">Vīroṇukka Maṉṟāḍi</hi>, son of <hi rend="bold">Madhurāntaka Kaḍuttalai Maṉṟāḍi</hi>, shall measure out the ghee of these (<hi rend="italic">sheep</hi>).</p>
