(1) Prosperity! Fortune!

(1) Tirthy-sixth year of the king Peruñciṅka-tēvar, alias the emperor of all the worlds, the glorrious Avaṉi Āḷappiṟantār.

(1) [This is] a written order (ōlai) from the Lord of Vēṇāṭu (veṇāṭuṭaiyāṉ).

(1–2) What was given away (viṭu tantatu) after the inspection done (kaṇṭu) by the accountants [of the temple], the responsibles of the treasury registers (paṇṭāra pottakam), officials of the divison [of the temple corresponding to ]the royal hall (tirumāḷikaikkūṟu ceyvārkaḷum), officials in charge of the temple (kōyilṉāyakañ ceyvārkaḷum), the officials of the temple services (cāmutāyañ ceyvārkaḷum), the officials for the temple affairs (śrīkāriyañ ceyvārkaḷum), the officlas overseeing the devotees (śrīmāheśvara kaṇkāṇi ceyvārkaḷum) in the temple of the God of Chidambaram, which is the Lord [of the following temple officers] Teṉṉavaṉ Pirammārāyar, Aiyatuṅka Pallavaraiyar, and of Tillai Ampala Pallavaraiyar.
