Translation

(1–2) When the Śaka year 1538, (which corresponded with) the third year (of the reign) of the king Pāṇḍya Kulaśekharadeva Cōmaciyār alias Cīvala-Varaguṇarāma, had expired; the 21st of the month of Tai in the year Naḷa, (instruction for the following) business was sent to the Śrīkāryakāra, the, Sthānīkas and the accountants of the temple of the god Tirumūlanātha

(2–4) In the name of Kāleri Aṇaiñcāṉ Paṇṭāram of Māvuṇṭaṉpuḷḷi, one of the cowherds belonging to Māṉakuṟicci, the eastern portion of the kaṟavai-kāṇam lands on the bank of the Cittāṟu (river), from the mākāṇi araikkāṇi (extent of land), we ordered that for the kār harvest 6 paṇams and for the pacānam harvest 6 paṇams, thus making an aggregate of twelve paṇams, be paid for (burning) a ghee lamp (before) the god.

(4–6) Thus we ordered that it shall remain the property of the god from generation to generation as long as the moon and the sun last. So let it be taken possession of (with this purpose in view). Thus by the royal will (this order was issued). Be it well.
