(1–3) Fourty-fourth [year] of the victorious king Nantīccuvaravikkiramaparumaṉ.1

(3–7) Vēṇarkkaḷiyaṉ fell for the sake of (āy) the Bāṇa lord when the army [of] the lord of Maṅkalam marched(vanta 2) upon Iṟamantaivāṭi in Mērkōvalūrnāṭu in Malāṭu.
