kīḻ-vēṇāṭ⟨3⟩ṭu-t tuṭari mēl vilakkumiṟai ⟨4⟩ yār vanta ñāṉṟu perum-pō ⟨5⟩ ttaraiyar maru-makkaḷ Amkō ⟨6⟩ ṭṭaiyār cēvakaṉ cākkai pa ⟨7⟩ ṟaiyaṉār Iḷa-makaṉ Ēṟaṉ ⟨8⟩ Eṟintu paṭṭāṉ

(1–2) Eleventh year the victorious king Mayēntiraparumaṉ.¹

(2–8) Ēṟaṉ, the younger son (iḷa-makaṉ) of Cākkai Paraiyaṉār, the servant of Amkōṭṭaiyār, the nephew (maru-makkaḷ) of Perumpōttaraiyar, attacked (eṟintu²) and died, when Vilakkumiṟaiyar marched upon [the village of] Tuṭari in Kīḻvēṇāṭu.
